I have a daughter who is trans, something she fought to the point of suicidal thoughts until she got therapy. "Saying" what she was was the least of it. Conservatives' nastiness on this subject is exceeded only by their ignorance. Surely you know a psychiatrist who can better inform you on this. Or you can Google "gender dysphoria."
