The National Rifle Association—bravely defending America from tyranny, except when that tyranny wears a badge, waves a Trump flag, or comes in the form of actual troops being deployed against peaceful protesters. Once a group dedicated to marksmanship, now a bloated lobbying beast with a selective memory and a panic button that only works when Democrats sneeze near a gun.
Despite endless chest-thumping about defending liberty and resisting jack-booted thugs, the NRA somehow missed the memo when black gun owners were murdered by police, journalists were assaulted in the streets, and the president threatened to use the military on American citizens. Their silence was so loud, you could hear it over Dana Loesch’s metaphorical “clenched fists of truth.”
Turns out, the NRA’s war on tyranny comes with fine print: Only valid if the tyrant is liberal and the oppressed are White.
So while real authoritarian overreach plays out on live TV, the NRA clutches its pearls, salutes the troops, and posts pro-police memes on Instagram—because nothing screams "freedom" like giving the government a free pass when your political team is in charge.
In short: the NRA talks like Rambo but hides like Waldo when tyranny actually knocks

This week in Los Angeles, protesters waved Mexican flags during demonstrations against Trump’s immigration crackdown and National Guard deployment, prompting conservatives across the nation to clutch pearls, combust on Fox News, and furiously wave their Gadsden flags.
Cue the conservative media meltdown: Glenn Beck wept into a Bald Eagle throw pillow, Stephen Miller labeled L.A. "enemy territory," and various pundits wondered aloud if tortilla chips were now a threat to national security. Some even claimed the Mexican flags were proof that California had seceded and was being annexed by guacamole.
Protesters, however, calmly explained that waving a Mexican flag is not a call to arms but a celebration of identity, heritage, and the right to challenge policies that target their communities. Some admitted the optics could be politically tricky, but stood firm, because heritage ≠ treason (unless heritage = seceding from the U.S.).
So, the same folks panicking over foreign flags see no issue with flying Trump’s name like a third-world cult leader’s or hoisting the Confederate flag—the literal symbol of rebellion against the U.S.—as part of their Sunday tailgate décor.
In short: waving a Mexican flag is “anti-American,” but flying the flag of a failed racist insurrection? That’s apparently patriotism—with a side of irony and zero self-awareness.
Counterpoint. Just sharing, hope you do not mind.
I honestly don’t see a difference between Al Qaeda and members supportive of the DNC at this point.
