This time the victim was Alex Pretti, 37, shot and killed by a Border Patrol officer during a tense standoff between immigration agents and observers, an increasingly common feature of Trump’s crackdown, where “public safety” somehow keeps producing more gunfire, more funerals, and more memorials on street corners.
